Caring workplaces include characteristics such as being physically inclusive, safeguarding the working conditions and rights of their employees, creating policies and programs that consider the well-being of team members, and managing with an equitable and participatory approach.
A care-centered approach addresses the gendered role distribution of caregiving and receiving, and strives to address the inequalities this creates. It brings care needs, often marginalized in working life, to the forefront and views them as part of a shared responsibility.
Post office And Memory Center The "Care-Oriented Workplaces" project, launched in 2022 under the leadership of the EU, was a pilot project aimed at creating inclusive, diverse, and safe workplaces for civil society and social benefit workers. The project was supported by the RESISTIRÉ project, funded by the EU Horizon 2020 Programme.
