Common Frequencies
In an era where visuals are so prominent, what difference could it make to use sound—audio documentaries, collective storytelling, and community-based radio broadcasting—to share narratives, solutions, and stories with those working on social issues?
Common Frequencies consists of audio documentaries in Istanbul, Ankara, and Milan, focusing on the use of public spaces, access to culture and art, and participation in urban life, featuring stories of communities and the solutions they produce. In this process, we created audio documentaries using radio, sound, and collective storytelling tools to share the experiences of these communities.
Shared Frequencies was implemented by Milan-based Shareradio, Yekpare, and Roof in partnership, with the support of VAHA.

Doğa Ünyaylar
Doğa Ünyaylar is an artist working in sound art and contemporary art practices.
Her work focuses on the relationships that sound establishes with material, body, and space. She explores the auditory experience through soundwalks, experimental installations, and visual-electronic devices. In 2022, she held her first solo exhibition, “Neither In Nor Out Of Time,” in Linz. In 2023, she opened solo exhibitions titled “Acousma” in Istanbul and “Vital Momentum” in Portugal.
Her work has been featured in international exhibitions such as the Wiener Noise Media Art Fair and CCA Berlin Soundscape. She also performs vocal improvisation and electronic-based sound performances. In 2024, she mentored the Soul.l Project artist residency program. Her practice explores the relationships between sound production and experience, space, and contemporary visual arts.
Dogukan Sayan & Yesim Ozen
Yeşim Özşen is a culture and digital communication producer working within the framework of communication and brand building. Beginning with Trendyol and Voden, and extending to digital marketing and 360° projects at Pozitif, she has worked with various brands in corporate communication, radio, partner relations, and content strategy. Today, she leads communication projects for Mobilet and Biletiva and assists in production processes at fugamundi. She enjoys simplifying interconnected structures and transforming them into a meaningful whole, connecting the right content with the right people, and challenging herself in the production process.
Doğukan Şayan is a psychological counselor, DJ, and cultural producer based in Istanbul. As one of the founders of fugamundi, he designs events and experiences that offer a brief "escape" from the weight of everyday life. Under his DJ identity, he creates sets under the name "larda yüzen" (floating in the seas), focusing on dark disco, synthwave, retro sounds, and downtempo. His work centers on narratives that bridge the gap between attention, emotion, and collective memory.

Liana Kuyumcuyan
Liana Kuyumcuyan (Istanbul, 1994) is a social designer and researcher.
She graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University with a bachelor's degree in "Industrial Product Design" and from Kadir Has University with a master's degree in "Architecture and Urban Studies". She is a doctoral candidate at the National Technical University of Athens.
His works have been exhibited at Museum MACAN (2025), the 4th Larnaca Biennial (2025), and Base Milano as part of Milan Design Week (2024). He designed the exhibitions "The Future of Listening" (Istanbul Bakırköy Art, 2026); "Post Office: An Archaeology of a Building" (2023); and "1994-2004: Heinrich Böll Stiftung Istanbul and 30 Years of Civil Society and Politics in Türkiye" (2024), realized in collaboration with Urban.Koop and Forum Lenteng.
Co-author of the book "Post Office: An Archaeology of a Building" (2024). Served as editor-in-chief of Design Unlimited magazine (2019–2024). Co-editor of the "Pedestrian Modernities" issue of Dragomanen magazine (2025) and guest editor of beyond.istanbul's "Justice in Space and Beyoğlu" issue (2020).
Koray Soylu
Koray Soylu, founder and editor-in-chief of SHEER Mag, is an independent writer, editor, and publisher working in the fields of music, culture, and critical writing. He graduated from Koç University with degrees in Media and Visual Arts and Archaeology and Art History. His writings on music, film, contemporary art, and technology have appeared in publications such as Manifold, bant mag., Fil'm Hafızası, and Piksel Bülten. He also worked as a music critic and editor at the new media company Aposto.
